Over the last 19 years I have been in a community of people that I would of given my life for and I thought they would of done the same. We have cried together, laughed together, struggled through life together. I would of said that we were on the same journey, the same vision, etc. "I am a bit confused" with what exactly happen. They knew us, they knew that they could count on us for whatever was needed. In those 19 years, they saw the true people that we were. Some even had known us 20 some years. So, they knew us and when I say KNEW US, that they did.
Then something happen, history started to be re-wrote, and even though they had lived that history, have been a active role in that history. They allowed it to be re-written. What happen was, things were twisted to put a wedge into relationships, relationships that had once stood shoulder to shoulder, with blood, sweat and tears stood for what was right. It was like a fog had been poured on us, clarity was not to be found. Things that were at one time clear, became foggy, truths were no longer spoken, yes history was being re-written. To the point the lies even began to show up in the rewrite of the history. In today's wording, "the spin had begun". I had to learn that some think that you have to destory the past to make the "moves" you want come to be. Even though there is proof in the pudding (history), why are people so eager to listen to those who speak falsely? Even when they have lived in the truth of the history. It was like, if the sun was shinning and a certain person would say it was cloudy, they would believe it was cloudy just because this person said so. God is so right, when He compares us to sheep, sometimes we follow blindly, no matter what the truth really is. In this situation, did I do everything right, no. I have failed also. Do I wish I could turn the hands back in time, yes I do but I can't. Have I learned through this situation, yes I have.
Friendships have been either wounded or lost, lines in the sand have been drawn, and life in that community will sadly never be the same. Was God in that, my conclusion is absolutly not. And there is enough blame to go around.
Maybe someday those that are involved will get the opportunity to do a redo.
